Before and after

Most people do before and after pictures of varioius activities such as weight loss, landscape projects, haircuts etc...

All quiet on the northern front

I was working in Southern California last weekend so we didn't make our usual 1st Sunday trip to the temple constructions sites.  We went to the Phoenix Temple site today and I'd like to report that there's nothing to report.  The mobile construction offices are in place and everything is graded but no appreciable construction progress to our eyes.  Our family is still moving along.  Shaw is standing on the curb but even without that,  he's going to be as tall as his mom soon.  

 

He was so moved, I think, by the specialness of the temple site that a spontaneous dancing of the Mamushka broke out. 

We'll visit the Gilbert Temple site on General Conference weekend. 

Guitars and handlebars

 

We went to a little festival in downtown Mesa this weekend.  Cars, motorcycles, guitars and legos.  If you have those things in life, you have happiness. 

 This is pretty cool.  Lego motorcycle above and Lego Jimi Hendrix below- with only 4 colors of legos. 

Since the show was adjacent to the Mesa Center for the Performing Arts, they were having an open house and there were members of the Arizona Opera Company, and the Gammage Theater and other musicians, improv comedians and performers.  Look at the video below to see why Shaw is slouched down in his seat with such a concerened look on his face.  The moment was redeemed by a great improv comedy group after the Pagliacci highlights...
