Knee high by the 4th of July

They say your corn should be "knee-high by the 4th of July" for moderate climates. I didn't even plant ours until the end of July. I think the new saying for Mesa, Arizona will be that 4th graders named Shaw should be half way up the corn by mid September... it doesn't rhyme as good as that other saying but we're going with it.

  1. That makes me hungry. We haven't planted anything for the fall. I better figure out what/if I can still plant.
And yeah, . . . you ought to work on the rhyme a bit.

  2. Wow Shaw, you look so grown up. I think you are sprouting up as fast as end-of-summer corn. Home grown corn is the best, almost as good as dessert. I think it's great that you folks are using the land so wisely. Provident living is not easy.
